Where is Old Mill Located?

1554 Gruene Road, New Braunfels Texas. Easy walk from Historic Gruene; 45 minutes from Austin & 30 minutes from San Antonio.

How many guests can the space accommodate?

350 seated with Dance Floor, DJ/Band & Bar set up.

Where's the best place to stay for guests who aren't from the area?

The Old Mill Resort!  We have On Site Lodging – 16 fully furnished two and three bedroom condo’s can be rented in blocks of 5 or more with a 20% discount.

Can you bring your own alcohol?

Yes, however, all rules and regulations of the state and of Old Mill Resort must be followed. TABC licensed and insured bartenders must be hired.

May I choose my own caterer?

Yes, we have a preferred vendor list to help you, however you are welcome to hire your own licensed and insured caterer. They must however stay until the end of the event to clean up, so you are not charged for clean up.

May I bring in my own AV equipment?

The Old Mill Resort does not provide A/V equipment. It is the hosts responsibility to provide and/or contract the A/V equipment for the event.

What do we do in a rain event?

Our venue is able to seat 350 people inside in the event of rain. We have a grand staircase entrance that provides total private access to the venue.

How early can I get in the venue day of?

We will have the venue open by 10 am for you. In the event nothing is booked the night before and the venue is clean, we will be glad to open by 8 am.

How late will be venue be open?

Everything must end by 11 pm. Vendors must clean up and be out by midnight.

How do I reserve my date?

Please contact us here to book an event. All bookings are first come, first served basis. The first payment and the signed contract and rules and regulations document are required to secure the date.

What is the insurance requirement?

Client(s) are required to obtain day of special event insurance that covers a minimum of $1,000,000 worth of damages and names The Property Management Company AB&F/Old Mill Resort listed as additional insured. This insurance must be obtained and a copy provided to Old Mill Resort 30 days prior to the event. The Caterer must also have their own insurance and provide a copy of their insurance to Old Mill Resort prior to the event. The bartending company must also provide proof of insurance prior to the event.
